Madonna invites the Pope to her crucifixion

Madonna was in Rome yesterday as part of her tour. While 70,000 fans sang along with the pop icon, many were disappointed when she performed while wearing a crown of thorns and being crucified to a large mirrored cross. But why should this concern someone as important as Madonna? She even thought it to be in good taste to invite Pope Benedict to attend. I'm sure you can guess what his decision was.
