Dina Lohan speaks out about Lindsay's written reprimand
In response to Lindsay Lohan's letter from the head honchos at Morgan Creek Productions, this is what Dina Lohan had to say:"The Wording Was Ridiculous…Maybe He Has Personal Issues With Whomever And It Came Out With My Child. I Don't Know Him. I Can't Judge Him. I Don't Think It Was A Smart Thing To Do To A Young Girl."

When asked if there was any truth to claims in the letter, Dina came to her daughter's defense saying, "Lindsay was in 105 (degree weather) saying, 'Mommy, I feel sick; like I am going to faint.' She took herself to the hospital. She has asthma and in extreme cold or heat you can't breathe."
When asked about accusations in the letter that Lindsay's "…ongoing all night heavy partying" was responsible for her not showing up on set, Dina said, "Lindsay gets to work late, OK… She's a human being. There was one day when she was late and they worked the schedule around her. Garry (Marshall, the film's director), Jane (Fonda, her co-star), everybody loves her."
"As far as Lindsay's health is concerned, she's fine and she is back on set."
"She will win an Academy Award for this picture… Justice!"

Harry Potter to be naked on a horse
Daniel Radcliffe continues his transformation into Grandpa from The Munsters. Also, according to Reuters:
"Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe will strip off for his London stage debut as a psychologically disturbed stable boy in "Equus".The 17-year-old, currently making the fifth Harry Potter film, will star alongside Richard Griffiths, who plays his grumpy uncle in the wizard sagas.
Radcliffe will play Alan Strang, a stable boy who is interviewed by a psychiatrist after he blinds six horses with a metal spike. In Peter Shaffer's controversial play, the role requires the actor to ride naked on his horse.
"This is an extraordinary play and, yes, there is a scene of nudity in it, but that's not what the play is about," said Radcliffe's publicist Vanessa Davies."

Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock had a wedding ceremony Saturday on a yacht in Saint-Tropez. "She was the most beautiful bride I've ever seen – like a modern-day Brigitte Bardot," Jimmy Choo owner Tamara Mellon tells PEOPLE about Anderson, who wore a white string bikini to her nuptials. "Kid Rock was a total rock star. He gave her a good kiss. Everybody was crying." Adds Elton John's husband David Furnish: "It was a real rock n' roll wedding."
This is the second union for Anderson and the first for Rock (real name: Robert Ritchie) – and, apparently, there are more to come. "I'm going to get married a few times this month to the same guy," Anderson, 39, said July 26 during a news conference in Las Vegas. The Hoff: "I'm on a little bizarre medication"
David Hasselhoff made headlines yesterday after he was reportedly banned from a British Airways flight. Though he was cleared on a later flight that day, rumors were swirling that Hasselhoff was too drunk to board the plane, the "America's Got Talent" is taking charge, claiming it was his meds for his arm that caused the delay.
"I'm on a little bizarre medication but I'm okay ... I hurt it a little more in London this last trip ... It's just got a little bit of an infection."

Just how are these samples acquired and how can we be sure that they're authentic? Mel Gibson's Anti-Semetic Tirade
TMZ has learned that Mel Gibson went on a rampage when he was arrested Friday on suspicion of drunk driving, hurling religious epithets. TMZ has also learned that the Los Angeles County Sheriff's department had the initial report doctored to keep the real story under wraps.
TMZ has four pages of the original report prepared by the arresting officer in the case, L.A. County Sheriff's Deputy James Mee. According to the report, Gibson became agitated after he was stopped on Pacific Coast Highway and told he was to be detained for drunk driving Friday morning in Malibu. The actor began swearing uncontrollably. Gibson repeatedly said, "My life is f****d." Law enforcement sources say the deputy, worried that Gibson might become violent, told the actor that he was supposed to cuff him but would not, as long as Gibson cooperated. As the two stood next to the hood of the patrol car, the deputy asked Gibson to get inside. Deputy Mee then walked over to the passenger door and opened it. The report says Gibson then said, "I'm not going to get in your car," and bolted to his car. The deputy quickly subdued Gibson, cuffed him and put him inside the patrol car.
Once inside the car, a source directly connected with the case says Gibson began banging himself against the seat. The report says Gibson told the deputy, "You mother f****r. I'm going to f*** you." The report also says "Gibson almost continually [sic] threatened me saying he 'owns Malibu' and will spend all of his money to 'get even' with me."
The report says Gibson then launched into a barrage of anti-Semitic statements: "F*****g Jews... The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world." Gibson then asked the deputy, "Are you a Jew?" [continue reading about Gibson's tirade]

Hilary Duff: Not a virgin after all
When 20-year-old Hilary Duff announced that she was still a virgin in a recent interview with Elle magazine, many people were shocked. Though the actress has a squeaky-clean image, she also dates Joel Madden, the 27-year-old frontman of pop punk band, Good Charlotte. For the most part, people had thought it was safe to assume these two had done the deed.
In her interview, Hilary confessed, "It's harder having a boyfriend who's older because people just assume. But [virginity] is definitely something I like about myself. It doesn't mean I haven't thought about sex, because everyone I know has had it and you want to fit in."
Now the singer/actress is claiming that she never said she was a virgin. Using the Lindsay Lohan defense, Duff says that the writer for Elle took her statement out of context. In an interview with MuchMusic, Hilary said, "The thing is that I didn't say that. I wouldn't say that. I don't know how [the writer] got that out of what I said." Hilary explained that her virginity is "definitely not something that I would talk about or that I would want people to focus on. Or that I even think it's appropriate to talk about. Whose business is that?"

Jessica, take 2
With only a month to go until the release of her new CD "A Public Affair", Jessica Simpson has already switched the cover picture of the album.
Last week the cover art for the CD surfaced showing a sultry Jessica with her hair down, sporting a strapless dress. But it looks like the Simpson camp changed their mind and decided to go with more of a girl-next-door look. Jessica's rep Rob Shuter tells TMZ the final decision on a cover had not been made by the time one had to be provided to Jess' record label, so the first cover option (of three choices they had) was given. That cover was ultimately not chosen and Jessica went with the cover shown here. [source]
Personally, I think she should have stuck with the first photo. The second one is just boring, and boring doesn't sell albums.

Tori Spelling not so rich after all
When Dean McDermott left his wife for Tori Spelling, you have to figure her money had something to do with it. Tori stood to inherit a large part of her father Aaron’s $500 million estate. But according to Us Weekly, Tori’s feud with her mother Candy may have led to her being almost entirely out of her father’s will.
An insider told Us that Tori will likely inherit about $800,000 in cash and investments from her father’s estate. That’s less than the Spelling family spent on Tori’s wedding to her first husband, Charlie Shanian.
The will was allegedly altered only three months before Aaron died in late June. Said the magazine’s source, "I believe Candy had a lot to do with what was left for Tori.” The informant believes Candy wanted “revenge” on her daughter.
So why the bad blood between Candy and Tori? Their feud reportedly started when Tori complained that her million dollar wedding to Shanian was not lavish enough. Candy, meanwhile, felt that she should have been allowed to invite more guests to the nuptials since she planned and paid for them. Katharine McPhee regains health
American idol runner up Katherine McPhee is back on the ball after contracting severe bronchitis and laryngitis, thus missing the first part of the American idol tour. However, she seems to be back in fine form and rejoins the tour today; however she has come under fire after being spotted working on a photo shoot and enjoying some rest and relaxation with her man.
However, speaking to Extra McPhee defended her actions and claims she was protecting her voice.
She said: "It was definitely difficult, especially with the media making assumptions about what exactly it was, she's ditching the tour for a movie, all these silly things...it's just part of the business and I'm happy I'm healthy."
I felt horrible. It's a huge disappointment. You're not only disappointing yourself but you're disappointing the people who work for you, your fans most importantly....this is like my first official day of actually speaking."

Yep, he's gay
Lance Bass, the former 'N Sync heartthrob, reveals that he is gay, in an exclusive interview with PEOPLE.
"I knew that I was in this popular band and I had four other guys' careers in my hand, and I knew that if I ever acted on it or even said (that I was gay), it would overpower everything," says Bass, referring to bandmates Joey Fatone, Chris Kirkpatrick, JC Chasez and Justin Timberlake.
"I didn’t know: Could that be the end of ’N Sync? So I had that weight on me of like, ‘Wow, if I ever let anyone know, it's bad.' So I just never did," he says speaking about his sexual orientation for the first time with PEOPLE.
"He took years to really think about how he was going to tell everyone," says his close buddy Fatone, 29, who was the first 'N Sync bandmate to find out Bass is gay. "I back him up 100 percent." Adds Bass’s longtime pal, actress Christina Applegate: "I've always accepted him as who he is. It's about his own serenity at this point."

Carmen Electra and Jaime Foxx together?
Carmen Electra seemed to be taking her breakup with hubby Dave Navarro so well that she was spotted with Jamie Foxx at Hollywood's club Element the other night. With her wedding ring noticeably absent, Electra arrived with Foxx to see a "surprise" performance by Gnarls Barkley. Page Six reports:
