Nick Lachey plans to remarry

From the NationalLedger:

According to [Life & Style Magazine] Nick poured his heart out to his ex-wife about his new love and a source tells the magazine he confessed he was headed for the altar. "I'm getting married again, Jess and I wanted you to hear it from me," the magazine reports Lachey as telling Jessica during a 40-minute phone call.

According to the report he claimed that there is a good chance they will be married by the end of the year.

The news came a shock to Simpson. "She knew Nick and Jessica were serious, but this threw her for a loop," a friend of Jessica's dished to the magazine.

"She did her best to contain her emotions."

Cue the rep: Nick's rep denied to L&S that the "I'm marrying Vanessa" phone call ever took place.

Jessica really screwed up when she let Nick get away. I hope Father Simpson sees how interfering with his daughter's relationships is not a good idea. But also bear in mind, Life & Style isn't always the best source of accurate information, so take it for what it's worth. Personally I hope it's all true.

Pam & Kid split

In some of the least shocking news of the year, Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson have files for divorce. From People:
Pamela Anderson has filed for divorce from Kid Rock, her rep has confirmed to PEOPLE.

"Pamela filed for divorce last week," Anderson's rep, Tracy Nguyen tells PEOPLE. "It wasn't a happy Thanksgiving." A rep for Rock had no comment.

On Monday, Anderson posted the following message on her Web site:

11/27/2006
Divorce
Yes, it's true.
Unfortunately impossible.

In fact, Anderson, 39, and Rock, 35, both filed divorce petitions Monday, each citing irreconcilable differences, but they gave different dates of separation. Anderson's papers said they separated before Thanksgiving weekend, on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2006, while Rock – who filed under his real name, Robert Ritchie – said they separated on Sunday, Nov. 26. No reasons were given for the discrepancy.

Both ask that the court not get involved in awarding spousal support.

Michael (Kramer) Richard's racial tirade

At an L.A. nightclub, Michael Richards was doing a stand up comic routine when he flew into a tirade filled with racial slurs aimed at some hecklers in the audience. The video is pretty offensive, but if you wish to view it you can do so here. It's disappointing to see that after all these years there are still people like Richards out there. Of course, now he's appologized on David Letterman and everything is supposed to be okay. F-ing celebrities think they can go around and say anything and apologize later, and everything will be okay. You can view that video here. But I don't buy it- flying into a fit of rage is one thing, but only a racist would jump to making the remarks he made.

O.J.'s book deal canceled

The crazies at that publishing company have finally come to their moral senses. O. J. Simpson's book, in which he hypothetically confesses to murder, has been pulled. From FoxNews:

News Corp., the parent company of book publisher Harper Collins and the FOX network, has canceled publication of the O.J. Simpson book and television special "If I Did It."

"I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project," said

Rupert Murdoch, News Corp. chairman. "We are sorry for any pain that this has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.

In the book, the one-time football superstar tells how he would have killed his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ron Goldman if, in fact, he had done it.

A dozen FOX affiliates had already said they would not air the two-part sweeps month special, planned for next week before the book's publication.

One station manager who had said he wasn't airing the special said he was concerned that whether or not Simpson was guilty, he'd still be profiting from murders.

Who knew TomKat had so many friends?

I was kind of surprised by some of the celebs that turned out for the big wedding this past weekend. Turns out I wasn't the only one. TMZ takes a closer look:

Given that we thought the guest list at the Cruise-Holmes nuptials in Italy seemed more like a Fellini film, or an episode of "The Surreal Life" -- Marc Anthony? Jenny McCarthy? Jenna Elfman? -- we tried to break down exactly what some of these people were doing all the way over in Bracciano, so far away from home. It should make for some awkward moments during the dinner hour.

Several of the guests -- John Travolta, Elfman and her husband Bodhi, and Leah Remini -- are members of the Scientology tribe, so that makes sense. But what about J. Lo? It turns out that Lopez and Remini are close pals ... and remember that Remini was the first celeb to cop to a Suri sighting, so we know she's in the inner circle.

Now we're pretty sure that Jenny McCarthy and TomKat haven't worked together on anything recently, but J-Mac's squeeze, Jim Carrey, used to go out with Renee Zellweger, who, of course, was Cruise's co-star in "Jerry Maguire." No word from Carrey's rep on whether this rather tenuous connection is the precise reason for his attendance.

Perhaps J.Lo's husband Anthony said it best in a toast he reportedly gave last night in the bar at the wedding hotel in Rome: "To life, to the occasion, and to new friends." Or, as the case may be, complete strangers.

TomKat are official

In the most unsurprising news of the weekend, Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes made it official over the weekend in Italy. Many celeb friends were of course in attendance. From A Socialite's Life:

There were fireworks inside, too, a "never-ending kiss" between the betrothed after they exchanged vows Saturday. The kiss lasted so long it caused guests to shout "stop, stop!" said Giorgio Armani, who attended the wedding and designed the outfits of the bride, the groom and their baby, Suri.

The couple flew out of Rome Sunday for a honeymoon in the Maldives, said Ciampino airport spokesman Adriano Franceschetti. The rest of the wedding party was due to fly to Los Angeles later in the day.

The ceremony was a lavish apex to perhaps the celebrity world's most closely watched relationship, proclaimed with Cruise's leap on Oprah Winfrey's couch, bestowed with the nickname "TomKat" and raised to a new level seven months ago when Holmes gave birth to their daughter.

The evening wedding was performed by a Scientology minister in front of more than 150 relatives and friends, the couple's publicists said.

Just another noonie Monday- NSFW!

It still baffles me that celebs that are constantly photographed by the paparazzi don't want to wear panties or bras. They know better, which is why I don't feel the least bit bad about posting these pics. As far as I am concerned, they are asking for it. So start your Thanksgiving week with a little nip and noonie! More of the Paris/Shanna smackdown

In an exclusive at TMZ, this is what they've learned:

Law enforcement sources tell TMZ that the Los Angeles City Attorney is deciding if Paris Hilton is a crime victim and if Shanna Moakler is the perp. TMZ has learned that LAPD has completed its investigation into a smackdown last month at Hyde nightclub in Hollywood. TMZ posted video of Hilton going to the Hollywood division of the LAPD, claiming that Moakler socked her in the jaw. TMZ cameras caught Moakler calling the cops, just before going to the same station and filing a report alleging that Stavros Niarchos, Paris' ex, pushed her down a flight of stairs. We're told the City Attorney got the case from LAPD yesterday and is now deciding whether to file misdemeanor battery charges against Moakler and Niarchos.

The feud between Hilton and Moakler was triggered by Paris' close "friendship" with Travis Barker, Shanna's estranged husband. Days before the incident, a TMZ camera caught Hilton in a passionate lip lock with Barker in the Big Apple. And get this -- we're told the main players have been "less than cooperative" with authorities and that Niarchos has had it with both Paris and Shanna and wants nothing to do with them anymore.

Emmitt wins!

On the season finale of Dancing with the Stars, Emmitt Smith beat out Mario Lopez as the king of the dancefloor, taking reigning champion/partner Cheryl Burke with him. I can't say I'm sorry. Mario and Katalina really kinda bugged me. All their lovey-dovey smoochie talk wore thin really quickly. And they can't even admit that they're doin' it. Maybe their love is the real thing, but I can't imagine that the relationship will last now that the show is over. Mario is too much of a womanizer. Congrats Emmitt! You totally deserved it!

Shanna Moakler throws herself a divorce party

From People:
Shanna Moakler made the best of her split from Travis Barker on Friday with a divorce party at the Las Vegas nightclub Light at the Bellagio.

"I've been to past friends' divorce parties so I'm not the first person (to have one)," she tells PEOPLE. "I'm not groundbreaking or anything. I'm really doing it for myself to have closure and celebrate being single again and start a new chapter in my life."

On hosting the oddly themed bash, Moakler tells PEOPLE, "I don't have any regrets about doing it. I am who I am and I make my own decisions. I totally respect people's opinions. I never thought I would be getting a divorce. I never thought I'd be here. At the end of the day, this isn't the worst thing in my life. People go through it every day. McCartney/Mills play nice for a day

People: A temporary truce in the bitter divorce battle between Heather Mills and Paul McCartney took place Saturday at the third birthday of their daughter Beatrice at a children's play center in East Sussex, England, according to published accounts.

Both parents behaved amiably during the 90-minute lunchtime gathering, Britain's Hello! magazine reports.

However they left separately, with Paul taking Beatrice with him in a chauffeur-driven car some 10 minutes before Heather took off with some leftover birthday cake, the publication reports.
One mother whose son happened to be at the children's center as the party was wrapping up told Australia's Melbourne Herald Sun newspaper: "Bea looked lovely and seemed to be having a wonderful time. If I did not know what had been going on in their marriage in the last few months, I would never have guessed."

The mom added, "Bea was smiling and laughing just like any other child, having a whale of a time."

Internet addict

From the Stanford School of Medicine, is this you?
Is spending too much time online a prevalent and damaging condition, or simply a bad habit among a select few? Stanford University School of Medicine researchers have taken an important step toward resolving the debate over whether compulsive use of the Internet merits a medical diagnosis.

“Our telephone survey suggests that potential markers of problematic Internet use are present in a sizeable portion of the population,”

“We often focus on how wonderful the Internet is—how simple and efficient it can make things, but we need to consider the fact that it creates real problems for a subset of people.”

According to preliminary research, the typical affected individual is a single, college-educated, white male in his 30s, who spends approximately 30 hours a week on non-essential computer use. While some may hear this profile and assume that a person’s Internet “addiction” might actually be an extreme fondness for pornography, Aboujaoude stressed that pornography sites are just one part of the problem.
“Not surprisingly, online pornography and, to some degree, online gambling, have received the most attention—but users are as likely to use other sites, including chat rooms, shopping venues and special-interest Web sites. Our survey did not track what specific Internet venues were the most frequented by respondents, but other studies, and our clinical experience, indicate that pornography is just one area of excessive Internet use.”

Dead celebrities that still earn big $$$

Forbes has once again released its annual Top-Earning Dead Celebrities list. Nearly a half-century after her death, the blonde bombshell is still cashing in on her image -- or rather the licensing of it. Forbes listed Albert Einstein as the number five earner with a whopping $20 million take. Well, it turns out licensing your name to the explosive world of educational baby videos can be quite lucrative. The "Baby Einstein" series of videos and toys generated $400 million in profit last year -- with $20 million going into the coffers of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, which controls the Einstein estate.

Paris: bad in bed and drug smuggler, geez...

The quotes you are about to read are from Nick Carter. Bear this in mind when judging. Nick is filth and Paris is rich trash, so believe what you will:

"She was a drunken prude who as far as I can see did not really like sex.

"She relied on drugs and drink to give her confidence in the bedroom and was more often than not too wasted to even perform.
"I lost count of the nights I had to pick her off the floor and drag her to bed passed out."
"She made it clear she wanted to have sex and couldn't keep her hands off me," he said.

"At the start she loved to tease me by saying she wasn't wearing any pants. But because I know Paris is used to getting what she wants when she wants, I was determined to make her wait, which drove her wild with desire.

"In fact I held out for three weeks before I had sex with her.

"We'd flown to the Bahamas and I wanted everything to be perfect. But Paris got completely wasted and the sex was distinctly average as we were both too drunk to really enjoy it. It was just a blur of Jack Daniel's."
However the pair were so besotted, Nick had her name tattooed on his wrist and she had his inscribed on her bottom.
But Paris's vast wealth started to come between them. Nick said: "In reality I think she loved me because she thought, with all her money, she could control me.
"But I've never met anybody who can spend so needlessly. One day she even came home with a pair of FERRETS, which are illegal in California. I think she had simply run out of things to buy."

"All she wanted to do was drink and smoke and for a while I was lured into that whole scene too.
"Night after night we'd just get utterly wasted and Paris can't take her drink. I'd be pulling her off nightclub floors, with her wearing next to nothing, and putting her to bed totally off her head."

He claims she was so hooked on the drug she'd even smuggle it on to aeroplanes — in TEDDY BEARS.
"If she was going overseas she'd cut a hole in her teddy and stuff it with cannabis," he said.
"She had to have her own private stash with her at all times regardless of the consequences."

Anna Nicole to be evicted?

The day after Anna Nicole Smith buried her son Daniel, a letter was hand-delivered to her house in the Bahamas ordering her to leave the residence by Oct. 31, PEOPLE has learned.

G. Ben Thompson, a Myrtle Beach, S.C., developer, says he owns the property in New Providence where Smith has been staying. He says he purchased the house for a bit less than $1 million in August as a favor to Smith, whom he befriended after he met her through neighbors in mid-2005.

Smith was then supposed to sign a mortgage to buy the house from him, he says, but she has refused to do so. "She said it was a gift," Thompson tells PEOPLE. "I never said that. I don't have that kind of money."

An attorney representing Thompson delivered the letter to the house on Oct. 20; if Smith does not leave, Thompson says, he will pursue a formal eviction. "I don't want to embarrass her or humiliate Anna," he says. "I just need my money, or collateral, back."

Madonna on Oprah

Madonna will appear on the Oprah Winfrey Show this week to discuss her decision to adopt David Banda, a 13-month-old boy from Malawi.

The show will tape Tuesday and air Wednesday, a spokesperson for Harpo Productions tells the Associated Press.

In response to the growing controversy about the adoption, Madonna said in a statement to PEOPLE: "I expect to be given a hard time about many of the things I do. I know they are provocative and I prepare myself, but I did not expect the media, the government or any human rights organizations to take a stand against me trying to save a child's life."

Madonna adoption UPDATE

Update:
A senior Malawian government official on Monday dismissed as untrue remarks by an illiterate father who said he was misled into signing over his son for adoption by pop diva Madonna.

Yohane Banda, father of the one-year-old boy, told Reuters Television on Saturday that he never intended his son to be adopted by Madonna. He accused senior officials in government of not telling him the truth about the papers he signed.

"Had they told us that Madonna wanted to adopt my son and make him her own son, we would not have agreed to that," Banda said in his local language of Chichewa. "It would have been better for him to continue staying at the orphanage because I see no reason why my child should be given away forever when I can feed him," he said, speaking at his village of Lipunga near the Zambia border.

But his comments were categorically denied by Penson Kilembe, director of child welfare in the Ministry of Women and Child Development, who told Reuters the ministry explained every detail of the process to Banda and his family.

"We explained every detail and Madonna herself explained her intentions in the face of the judge and in Banda's presence," Kilembe said. "He (Banda) was asked several times in court if he understood what was going on and he said he did."

Kilembe is one of the senior government officials whom Banda said he met several times over his son, David, and whom he said had made him sign papers he later said he never understood. Banda told Reuters he could not read or write and relied on what government officials told him. Kilembe said Banda was told 12 children had been presented to Madonna who picked David, and that the singer would select another child if Banda did not want his son adopted.

A "wave" of celebrity protest

LA Times:
Entertainers join surfers in targeting a massive floating terminal that would warm natural gas from Asia and Australia and pipe it ashore. The campaign to halt various proposals to build ccccccc off the Southern California coast has been a rather subdued affair — until Sunday, when a parade of celebrities and surfers showed up in Malibu to join the protest.

The target of the demonstration was a massive floating terminal proposed for about 14 miles off the coast by Australian mining giant BHP Billiton.

Until Sunday, the proposed site for the 13-story terminal was thought to be closer to Oxnard, a former farm town best known for years as the butt of jokes by late-night talk show host Johnny Carson.

But maps show the terminal would be nearly as close to Malibu's city line, and celebrities have adopted it as a local issue.

Halle Berry, Cindy Crawford, Dick Van Dyke, Ted Danson, Jane Seymour, Pierce Brosnan and others showed up at Malibu's Surfrider Beach on Sunday to lend their star power to the issue, giving it a brief, if fleeting, moment of international attention. Fans, paparazzi and television networks from as far away as Australia mobbed the celebrities as helicopters hovered.

Daryl Hannah, in a black wetsuit, drew attention by carrying a surfboard across the sand and joining several hundred surfers in a paddle-out protest. Once outside the breakers, the surfers arranged their boards to form a giant circle with a slash through the middle, the worldwide symbol for "prohibited."

Beside the celebrities that hit the beach Sunday, other famous Malibu residents — including Barbra Streisand, Cher, Jamie Lee Curtis, Danny DeVito, Tom Hanks, Olivia Newton John and Martin Sheen — have signed a letter opposing the terminal that says it "poses significant and potentially irreversible negative impacts to our coast, our environment and to the health and safety of our families…. "

"The governor has not yet taken a position on any specific offshore natural gas terminal," said Darrel Ng, a spokesman for Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger. He is awaiting the outcome of various studies, Ng said, that put "each project through rigorous environmental and safety checks."

Britney desperate to sell K-Fed's album

If this isn't desperation, I really don't know what is.

Britney Spears
is asking her fans to help sell her hubby’s album. The “Oops, I Did It Again” singer is sponsoring a contest, and the fan who helps sell the most copies of Kevin Federline’s “Playing With Fire” gets to party with Spears and K-Fed on Halloween during the CD release party. Second prize is the pair of sneakers that K-Fed wore on the Teen Choice Awards, third place gets a $200 gift certificate, and 10 lucky runners-up get a replica of a medallion that K-Fed wears almost every day.

I can just see it now... little 11 and 12-year-old girls hawking that completely awful album door-to-door in a sad attempt to win this contest and hang out with a rich hillbilly and her loafing husband. And wow- to be one of those 10 runners-up and get a crappy replica medallion? How could anyone NOT enter?! Props to Brit for reaching a new low of humiliation.

Hey Tom Cruise! Yeah you! Stop being such a pansy!

I wish that L. Ron Hubbard's bitch (Tom Cruise) would realize that he draws more attention to situations that mock/ridicule him/Scientology by overreacting than the situations draw to themselves. Here's the latest Tom overreaction:

A Web site satirizing Tom Cruise's affiliation to the Church of Scientology through spoof videos and commentary could face closure as religious officials threaten legal action.ScienTOMogy.info has been bombarded by complaints from leaders of the controversial religion, which is championed by Tom Cruise and a string of other celebrities including John Travolta and Katie Holmes.

In particular, recent postings on the New Zealand-based website threaten court action for copyright infringement of the domain name.

Gossip website The Scoop reports a legal letter sent to ScienTOMogy web creators which reads, "You are hereby on notice that the registration and use of this domain name in this fashion has caused your name to be falsely associated with our client's registered mark, Scientology.

The former football great, who was acquitted in criminal court 11 years ago of killing his ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ron Goldman, reportedly has been paid a whopping $3.5 million to write about the double murder that shocked and riveted the nation in 1994, according to a detailed report in the new National Enquirer.

But Simpson is not actually confessing to the murder — rather, he’s writing a “hypothetical” book — which the Enquirer reports is tentatively being called “If I Did It.”

The early part of the book tells how Simpson fell in love with Nicole and how the marriage collapsed, reports the tab. He goes on, according to the article, to describe in gruesome detail the killing of his ex-wife and Goldman; he stipulates that the murder scenes are “hypothetical.” But, notes the tab, the descriptions are “so detailed and so chillingly realistic” that readers are left with little doubt as to what really happened.

Simpson can never be retried for the murders because of double jeopardy laws, according to the Enquirer, which also claims that Simpson aims to keep any book money instead of paying it out in a civil suit judgment against him by spending it all quickly.

McCartney/Mills divorce still hitting new lows

First there was the claim, earlier this week, that Heather Mills made against her estranged husband Paul McCartney saying that he physically abused/attacked her during their marriage. Now she says that there is video to prove it. From the DailyMail:

Heather Mills has taped evidence to back up claims that Sir Paul McCartney physically attacked her, say friends.
When her explosive court divorce papers accused the ex-Beatle of violently attacking her during their four year marriage she was branded a 'fantasist' and a 'liar'.
But, according to supporters of Miss Mills, she is ready - and able - to back up her claims with recorded, indisputable evidence. 'Suggestions that Heather simply made up the accusations about Paul attacking her are, understandably, incredibly upsetting for her,' said a source close to Miss Mills.
'Whatever she says or does now, Heather feels she cannot win - people are siding with Paul.
'But she is confident that she can actually prove some of these claims. Without going into specifics, she reckons to have tangible evidence showing that Paul not only verbally attacked her but was also physically aggressive.

'As well as charting much of the marriage breakdown on her digital camcorder, and having witnesses who will testify to her claims, Heather has another killer piece of evidence in the form of an audio recording.

'She is being quite cagey about it, but it seems that she may also have some kind of video recording of the pair rowing.

'It has never been Heather's intention to use the tapes, which she feels prove that Paul raised his hands to her, but if she has to, she will. It is dynamite stuff and if used, really could destroy Paul.'

Personally, I will side with Paul unless there actually is indisputable evidence that he attacked Heather. However I seriously doubt that any such thing happened. It's more likely that his second wife is a greedy nutjob who will stop at nothing to get the $$$ that she wants.
